Planstorm. An HTML5 mobile web application that helped teams of people easily develop their ideas into an actionable plan.
Developing ideas into an actionable plan is tough. Many people still employ a manual process where great ideas can easily be lost. The software that does exist typically focuses on either idea collection or the management of projects and tasks. Along with my cofounder, we evolved an idea into a company and product. I designed the brand, marketing site and application. I also coded the marketing site and the application front-end while working closely with the developers every step of the way.
The primary user is a team leader and the secondary user is a team member. Both reside on a team within an organization. Planning is typically done on a quarterly basis involving team members spread across a variety of locations.
We researched a number of published processes for planning. We also interviewed planners to understand their pain points. I then created wireframes and prototypes to iterate through the concept. We then built code, iterated and tested.
We created a mobile web application that helps teams of people turn their ideas into a prioritized plan using a simple four step process. Ideas are collected, organized into topics for discussion, evaluated and prioritized.
